It is free to join the Arlington Striders and there are two (2) levels of membership. Each membership level is for the year in which you signed and is renewable at the being of the next year in January. Each member must sign the waiver when renewing or joining the club.
There are two types of Memberships.
Basic Members: Are individuals who have an interest in running/walking, who are at least 18 years of age or have written consent from a parent or guardian, and fill in a club application and signs the waiver. (Must be renewed yearly.)
Active Members: Are individuals who attend a minimum of 4 key* group runs a month and have a Basic Membership. These Active Members will receive both Basic Members and Active Members benefits. In addition to these benefits, by increasing their level of participation in set increments in the ASRC, Active members can receive additional benefits.
* Key group runs are on Tuesday and Thursday @ 6:30 PM.
Aside from running
or walking with like-minded individuals, you will receive
discounts at local and not so local merchants.
10% Discount at all "Run On!" locations.
(They have store locations all over the DFW area: Dallas, Richardson, Coppell, McKinney and Preston/Forest.)
Addtional list of participating merchants can be obtained from a club officer.
There is also the monthly club social and
the monthly club newsletter plus access to the members only area where
you will receive notifications of races and special events geared toward members.
Other benefits might include speical sponsor deals and giveaways and door prizes and much more.
You may apply for membership anytime during the year at one of the Tuesday or Thursday group runs. Please fill in the form as completely as you can. We like to ensure each member's expectations are known and accommodated to the best of our ability. As with other clubs, you will be asked to sign a release/waiver before your membership is valid.
Membership is renewed each year in January for current Members. It is best to renew at the begining of the year if you wish to receive the most benefits.
We understand that events and circumstances often cause the need to cancel membership. Please notify the club in writing (mail or e-mail). Your contact information will be removed from our membership roles. You are welcome to rejoin anytime at a later date.
